Monday, May 14th - Last day of school and final concert at CUMPS
Above, the kiddos are coming in for the concert. They look so stinkin' cute!
Sitting patiently
Above, is Mr. Kidd, the director. I can't believe that Alexis isn't going to CUMPS anymore. 2 years FLEW by. I remember the 2nd day I picked her up from preschool, I cried. I missed her so much and couldn't help but shed a tear. Now she is out of Pre-K. It's just SO hard to believe.
Above, everyone is singing. Oh, how I LOVE my little girl!
Here is Mrs. Anguiano, her music teacher for the past 2 years. She has SO much energy and is so nice.
Here is Alexis on the video they showed. The first song that came on was "Let them be little" by Billy Dean. Yep, I lost it. I had been pretty emotional the week before, so I didn't think I would get emotional at the concert, but I did.
Here is Alexis with her teacher Mrs. Strole. Alexis just loves her. She did not want to leave CUMPS. She told me how much she will miss her teachers.
My family after the concert.
As we were leaving, we found Mrs. Christian outside, Lexi's afternoon teacher on Wednesdays. We wanted Alexis to have a full day to get ready for kindergarten. It was hard on me at first, but I always looked forward to picking her up.
We aren't sure yet where Alexis is going to kindergarten, since we applied out of district. But, I know God's hand is on it and I pray that she gets in the school we are praying for. We find out the first week in June.
I love you Alexis,
Mommy

Craft time for friends
Alexis wanted to make something special for her friends and teachers at school. So, I thought about it and came up with the idea to get a picture of her class (from field day, May 9th) and then we decorated the frames to put the picture in. It took a long time, and I helped, but it was SO worth it.
(above) Alexis with all the frames. We couldve gone much crazier with the frames, but with it being Mother's Day weekend, we just didn't have time. They turned out great though. After her concert, Monday May 14th, we had to scramble to get them to her friends. Everyone was leaving and saying there goodbyes.
(Above) a picture with her teacher, Mrs. Strole. Alexis LOVES her and will miss her. Where the hearts are, I put glue there, but she put the glitter. It turned out so cute!
Here is the picture of Mrs. Christian, her Wednesday afternoon teacher. She LOVES her, too. She had GREAT teachers and I feel so blessed. We had originally planned on another school (I don't remember the name of it) and when I woke up the morning to go pay, it just didn't feel right. So my husband mentioned CUMPS because one of his friends kids went there and really liked it. So, I called and spoke to Carol, the office manager. She asked if we could be there in 10 minutes for a tour. Since we don't live far from the school, we left immediately. We loved it and decided for Lex to go there. It was a SUPER 2 years.

Mother's Day 2012
We went to church on Sunday for Mother's Day because that's when my mom goes. We usually go Saturday night. I wanted to sit with her and see her. I love the picture (above) of my family. I love that the cross is behind us. "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
After church we took a picture of my mom, me and Alexis. Lovin' it!!
My mom called around 3 pm and said we could go over early. We planned on 6 pm, but since we had time, we went over at 5. We had a BLAST! It was so much fun. All my sisters were there and we laughed and laughed. It was such a good mother's day.
Shaun and Alexis gave me a beautiful plant and card. At some point he is going to take me to the dinner theater here in town. I'm waiting on my sister to be in a show there, hopefully soon!!
Above, Alexis and cousin Addi having fun!! They played at playground pretty much the whole time, except for when they were hungry and they would come over.
(above) My HANDSOME hubby and I. He took the day off to be with me. Usually he works on Sundays. I just love it when he smiles. It lights up any room!
From left to right: Ashley (my younger sister), Whitney (my oldest niece), Kenzie (middle niece), my older sister Kris, top row is my mom and then me. I love this picture!
Then we had some smores. Alexis LOVES marshmellows, if you can't tell. When we got home, she immediately got in the shower and got cleaned up. It took her a little bit to settle down. She got to sleep around 9:30ish.
We are BLESSED!

Field day and Lexi's last FULL day of school
I wasn't going to go to Lexi's field day, but at the LAST minute decided to go. I missed a little bit of it, which is fine, because I still got GREAT pictures.
This is Alexis and her friend, Ryan. Ryan's mom, Kristi, watched Lex for 2 weeks when she was a baby when I quit my job. When we switched churches, we met back up AND they go to the same school. SMALL world.
Here the class is about to throw there hands up. My camera didn't catch that moment. But it's still a good picture.
I'm not sure what Alexis is doing here (above) but it makes me laugh. She was being silly.
Alexis is getting her medal (above). The kids were excited.
Alexis and her friend, Emma.
I got 2 pictures of the class. I HAD to post the picture above because of the way Alexis is posing. It shows her personality completely.
Here is the whole class, along with Mrs. Strole, her teacher. Alexis had a GREAT Pre-K school year and is super ready and excited for kindergarten. I must say I am a touch sad because it was just yesterday I was dropping her off for preschool, and now Pre-K is about to end. Enjoy your kiddos, every. single. day. Time flys SO fast.
I think my daughter is simply gorgeous. Not just on the outside, but inside as well. I'm SO blessed.
Taylynn, Alexis and Emma. They are all going to different schools next year.
"Make new friends, but keep the old."
Alexis and mommy. I was getting ready to go back home and wanted to get a quick picture of us.
(Above) Alexis with Mrs. Christian, her teacher on Wednesday afternoons. Wednesday, May 9th, was her last day with her. Bittersweet. I took this picture when I picked her up from school. Alexis gave her a sweet hug.
When we were pulling away from the school, Alexis gave me my Mother's Day gift. She gave me some seeds that said:
These little seeds of love will grow stronger every day, you know. So plant them in the ground this May and have a Happy Mother's day!!
PLUS a sweet card that said:
MY MOM
My Mom is: 42 years old (I'm only 35, so I thought that was funny!!)
My Mom is the prettiest when: she wears a dress
My Mom likes to make: cookies and cakes (LOTS of those went to CUMPS)
My Mom always says: I love you (I say it ALOT. I do love her SO much)
My Mom is funny when she: dresses funny (LOL, I'm not sure when that is, but I laughed).
This morning when Alexis saw me after I had dressed, she said "Mom, you look nice today." She is SO sweet.
I love you sweet Alexis. You are a joy and the GREATEST gift from God!

Lexi's 2nd dentist appointment
Lexi had her 2nd dentist appointment Tuesday, May 8th. We switched dentists due to insurance. He is a great dentist and Alexis had fun = )
Here the gal is showing her how everything works. Lexi wasn't scared at all.
The light was in Lexi's eyes, so they gave her sunglasses to wear...LOL... She looked too cute. I told her she looked like she needed to be on a beach.
Getting her teeth cleaned. She did SO good!
Here she is right after. She cracks me up smiling so big. I simply love her.
She is about to get x-rays done (above). I didn't get pictures of that. Her teeth look great!
Here she is getting stuff out of the "treasure chest." She got a sticker, gum and some little toy that pops and flys in the air.
Right after the appointment we met up with daddy and had lunch. I love spending time with my family!!

Kindergarten physical
Today, you had your kindergarten physical. Above, you are getting your blood pressure taken for the first time. Pretty exciting, huh Lex!! = )
Here you are watching it. You did SUPER!
Here is your BP and heart rate. You are so healthy!
Here you are in your fancy gown ready for the doctor. You looked so cute.
You had to get a hearing test done and you PASSED it with flying colors! I asked the nurse what you had to listen to and she put the head phones on me for a second. WOW! I couldn't even hear the smallest sound. The nurse referred to the sounds as a alien. It was very weird, but you knew every single one. Good job Lex!
Then you had to do an eye exam. Below is the nurse asking you what each thing is. You were slightly shy at first, but then opened up and knew every single thing on it, even the bottom!!
After all that was over, we went back to the room for your physical. Alexis, you are doing GREAT!
Alexis you are:
-- 46.8 inch tall, which is the 94% of your age group. Didn't suprise me at all with your daddy being 6'4 and mommy at 5'8. You are already above my waist!
-- You weigh 50 Lbs, 4 oz, 87% of your age group.
Dr. Pridgett gave you a book called "Franklin and the Thunderstorm." You wanted to read it right then, but we had to wait because the doctor needed to exam you. After all that, you had to get 3 shots. Oh my goodness, you did FANTASTIC! You tensed up a bit, but got through it. Then mommy took you to Wendy's for a Frosty. YUM!
After we got home, you wanted your bandades off. You cried for awhile because you said one of them hurt you. After we got them off, I held you and read you your book. I have seen a change in your the last few days. You have been hugging, kissing and cuddling me more. Mommy LOVES it.
Blessings to all,

Alexis shoes
Alexis learned how to tie her shoes Friday, April 20th, 2012. She was downstairs, I was upstairs getting ready to take her to school and she came yelling up the stairs that she could tie her shoes! I was SO happy for her. She did it all by herself and now she is SO proud of herself, as she should be.
I also want to note that my child LOVES to take showers. I know we need to be clean, but she will stand in the shower FOREVER if we let her, every day.
Blessings,
